All manufacturing activities other than forest, mineral and food product manufacturing are grouped under this sector heading.  They include, among others, ship and boat building, equipment manufacturing, machines shops and architectural manufacturing.  Some 7,300 jobs were recorded in the non-resource manufacturing sector in 2006.
